Yesterday was Bradford Apple Day, this bag contains lots of apples

When we got there we noticed a big food area

I said to David that I bet they didn’t have anything we could eat but how wrong I was. As far as I could tell all of the food was vegetarian and lots of it was vegan
Wuffy had the flan which was chickpea, squash, carrot, onion and apple

I had the autumn tagine with dumplings and david had the spicy lentils and apple with cous cous

It was all delicious and it all contained apple
We didn’t get round to asking about desserts but I’m guessing that some of then were vegan and they had soya milk
There were different events for children

apple tasting

The orchard is very new being planted in 2003 so the trees are still small

They had some good information boards

Wuffy tried his hand at juicing apples (it tasted delicious)

Here are the apples that were in that bag

Top row are Ashmead’s Kernel and Howagate Wonder, middle row Blenhein Orange and Kidd’s Orange Red and at the front Adam’s Pearmain and Ribbston Pippin
After the apple day we drove up to Skipton partly becasue we like Skipton and partly because there were a couple of things we wanted to buy there. Wuffy loves Skipton Castle but we didn’t have time to go round it yesterday

They also have a nice church

We went on a canal boat ride round the back of the castle

There are lots of swans on the canal

So far today we have done nothing we are all too tired!!
